A South Korean local media recently states that Samsung’s closest rival, LG Corporation is likely to launch its own blockchain phone anytime soon. The report comes in a wake of trending talks on Switzerland-based Sirin Labs’s Finney Phone and Sunsung’s blockchain version of Galaxy Note 10 smartphone, KlatynePhone.

While the recent report unveils that the Sirin Labs’s Finney Phone is entering the Bangladeshi market in next month – the other report hints that the LG has already completed market research of blockchain companies and decentralized apps (dApps). The source reads;

“LG is likely to respond to Samsung’s innovation initiative,”.

Echoing a similar concern, the LG official told the media “the company is seeking for innovative features for its smartphone that doesn’t bear similarities of the existing blockchain-phones. The official states;

Company is struggling to apply blockchain to smartphones without any dissimilarity”.

However, LG isn’t a new firm to blockchain industry rather the firm has been exploring the various avenues to take the crypto and blockchain markets by storm. If the anonymous insider’s report is believed to be true, the crypto and tech market will soon witness another blockchain-enabled smartphone which opens a new doors that will boost the whole crypto ecosystem.

Earlier, LG’s blockchain arm, LG CNS appeared with the launch of a blockchain-based product dubbed as “Monachain”, intending to digitize supply chain management, financial and manufacturing services.

LG’s entry into the blockchain-mobile era is quite interesting as HTC is already released its blockchain-smartphone, Exodus, Samsung is live with its KlaytnPhone and Sirin Labs’ with its Finney Phone. A handful of companies launching the crypto-friendly Smartphone mean the prevention of monopoly and meantime, this gives ample opportunities for users to research smartphones of these companies and select one that best suits his expectations.

If at all LG launches its own blockchain oriented smartphones, it remains to see what unique features and functionalities it might accompany.
